Wagoner Birthdays

Every 4 months the Wagoner family gets together for birthdays.
We just went to my Uncle Stan and Aunt Judy's home for a campfire,
visit to the turkey farm, and darlingly decorated birthday event!
{is "darlingly" a word? YES. It is. Because I just used it.}

We played outdoor games,

ate food... and had a candy table with candy left from my cousin's wedding.
We enjoyed our new gifts and watching Aylah feed her new "guckie".

We rode in the back of Uncle Stan's pickup to the turkey farm,

and held week old turkeys.

{notice how Gentri {the darling in the lower right hand corner of above collage} is holding the poor turkey. and how "Grandpa" teaches Aylah {the darling in the lower left hand corner of above collage} to old a dead turkey in her DRESS... of all things. Her mother would be appalled.}

I absolutely love my family.
I am so blessed, I really am!

And just wait... I'm holding an event with my Wagoner family
and it's going to be...

I have a count down of 13 days. I've been planning, brainstorming, and loosing sleep due to extensive dreaming about the event.

But really, don't get your hopes up! It's just crazy me being over-whatever-you-wanna-call-it.

Home sweet home!
Every year my family takes a week off life and goes to the lake.
This place is commonly known as Lake Cumberland.
You may have heard it's in KY, but don't be mistaken.
It IS truly out of this world!

Yes. I may be partial.
Maybe it's because I've gone one week every summer of my life
(save one, when we drove to CA)

It's gorgoeous and perfect for our family!

My mom relaxes, does a little swimming. This is, I'm proud to say, was her first year of willingly getting her hair wet since I can remember! She's really stepping up! I have yet to see her ski! (While she says she used to, I need proof.)

My dad drives, relaxes, and does all the skiing that ole man can handle, say a few bins!

My oldest brother is internally competitive so he does nearly everything and does well! This year he tried out wakeskating. Looks interesting... but I'll stick with bindings on a board. I don't have very good cordination!

My other brother is a total goof off. No, really, if you don't know him, he's nothing like the serious older brother or younger sister. He is spends his life being unorganized and goofing-off. Therfore he does the Kneeboard the majoraty of the week. Trying out 360s, getting air, and riding the hump of the wake with the trim all the way up.

Everyone does a little tubing... who doesn't like it?

My amazing husband (well, he's just amazing)
but he enjoys wakeboarding and clearing the wake.

In doing so, he takes a few wipeouts, but he's still really amazing.
He just is.
So there.

I attempt the wakeboard and after a killing myself a few times, I drag my dead self upon a kneeboard and just have fun. You can only hurt yourself so bad on a kneeboard.

It's such an amazing time. Now to answer a few questions... Yes, we have a hard time getting 8 life jackets and that many boards and ALL our FOOD on a 22ft Sea Ray, but we manage to somehow!

Josh & Jenni Stull Wedding and Shower

Congrats to the darling couple! This wedding was nearly a month ago and her shower was about 2 months ago! I'm behind. Forgive me!
I did the decorating for her shower. It was quite fun. Not a large turn out, but fun, none the less!

She make the darlingest bride I've seen! The wedding was classy blue, grey, and black. Now, I'll stop nariating and let you take a look for yourself!

Slow Dance

Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round,
or listened to rain slapping the ground?

Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight,
or gazed at the sun fading into the night?

You better slow down, don't dance so fast,
time is short, the music won't last.

Do you run through each day on the fly,
when you ask "How are you?", do you hear the reply?

When the day is done, do you lie in your bed,
with the next hundred chores running through your head?

You better slow down, don't dance so fast,
time is short, the music won't last.

Ever told your child, we'll do it tomorrow,
and in your haste, not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch, let a friendship die,
'cause you never had time to call and say hi?

You better slow down, don't dance so fast,
time is short, the music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere,
you miss half the fun of getting there.

When you worry and hurry through your day,
it's like an unopened gift thrown away.

Life isn't a race, so take it slower,
hear the music before your song is over.

Flowers and Garden updated tour

Dear garden and flowers...
O how I love thee... O how I love He who created thee. It's proof, I tell you, It's all the proof I need of Him. Look at His beauty, vibrancy, colors, variation, attention to detail.

Notice His softness, His love for making things beautiful
{my once-recked, now sanctified life testifies of that as well}

Notice His provision, His power, His fulfilled promises.

Thank You, Father for your love, your everlasting, unconditional love for yes, even me. Show me Your ways. I'm simply asking You to work through me- all You, using me. You alone are worthy; what have I done for these flowers but planting, and a teeny watering? Do so in my life. I realize I can only plant myself in you and water daily with living water and You alone, Lord can bring me up, growing straight towards the Son. Thank you Father!

I'm trying out this thing they call Picasa. Haven't yet learned too much but as you can tell from my last few post, I've been trying. I can't get the text to stay and upload on blogger. I had really profound- life- changing things all over these photos, and now {it's just so sad} you're never going to hear them. I'm sure you'll be fine, but just think how I could have helped!
If you have any tips on Picasa or other recommendations for photo editing software, I'm sure to soak it up! {Preferably not TOO expensive, or perhaps even cost free would be good. See we have a budget. I know, they aren't too fun, but it is fun to go to online banking and see the little Credit Card tab and Installment Loan tab drop from such high numbers... I don't like heights when it comes to balances on those types of things.}

Jarrod & Candi

Jarrod & Candi

She made such a darling bride. The wedding was outdoors, at our Aunt's home {The Aunt that trained me in the way of vintage.} Very bright and beautiful.

Candi's biological family came out for the wedding. They were 16 when they had Candi, so they gave her up, but stayed together and now have a 14 year old boy and 2 younger girls.

The most darling idea... they had a candy table and passed out custom bags of sweet treats.

These two dolls are Candi's nephew and niece.

If you notice the funny couple in the upper left hand corner of the following collage... they were the Father and Mother of the Bride. We are still trying to figure out if they are really all there. We'll let you know... :) {love you, Uncle J. and Aunt C.!}

Daphka is 7!

Is this not the sweetest birthday girl you've ever seen?

She is as much of a basket-case as she is cute, I must say!

Her party was as pink and girly as they come, to meet her personality!

As Barbara and Vedline's birthdays were just a few week prior, Heath and Betsy got the three of them a black lab pup. They named her Miley after a little girl at church that the smother with love every Sunday.

This was such a fun party! Betsy made enchiladas, salsa, a darling strawberry shortcake cake, and much more. I was so blessed to get these 3 little girls as nieces last winter!

Father... I pray for Daphka. I just pour my heart out for her. Her strength is inspiring. Take her places. Bless those in Haiti because of her. Be with her Haitian family, speak to them. Amen
